Trainspotting
What I thought about the film

Trainspotting is a 1996 British film directed by Danny Boyle. The film follows up a group of drug addicts in Edinburgh who happen to be friends. The British actors Ewan McGregor (Mark Renton), Ewen Bremner (Spud), Johnny Lee Miller (Sick boy), Kevin Mckidd (Tommy) and Robert Carlyle (Begbie) ,show what it is like to be heroin addicts in the late 1980s in an economically depressed area.

The film begins with the main character Mark Renton's narration, he states that  some people choose to live a normal life where as he chooses to live his life as heroin addict like the rest of his friends. Renton realises at the end of the film that he needs to do something with his life and have a purpose.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, I enjoyed the elements of fantasy and black humour. On the other hand I feel that the film should have a more straight forward story line as I found at some parts of the film my mind would wander away from it.
